Extension of the school day
Since the school year 2021 – 2022 the NSS decided to extend the school day instead of offering external after school activities. Through this extension we are able to offer an in-school varied program focusing on (foreign) languages, culture and sports. These learning activities are offered to all students from group 1 – 8.
Between 14.30 and 15.00 our students are exposed to learning activities focusing on sports, creativity, music and cognitive skills. These learning activities are prepped and executed by our staff members.
Every term we offer different learning activities. Students can choose which activities they would like to participate in, keeping in mind the talents they already posses and how they would like to stretch themselves, by learning new skills. These learning activities are split between our lower and upper primary section.
In this first term of the school year we offer the following learning activities:
- Gardening and healthy food in our shamba outside
- Gardening and healthy food using our LED powered GrowWizzKid inside
- Cooking
- Arts & Crafts
- Drama & Music
- Sports and Games
- Rounders
- Hand Ball
- Yoga
- Swahili
- French
- Language Games
- Book Club
If you have a suggestion for a learning activity, of if you would like to volunteer for one, we would love to hear from you.
There are no extra charges for participating in these learning activities, since they are part of our lesson program.
